Michael joined MFI in 2012 and has been the Company’s Chief Investment Officer since 2015. In this role, Michael is responsible for investment strategy and asset allocation, external fund manager relationships, key direct investment decisions and the day-to-day management of the internal investment team.
Michael has led projects to refresh manager relationships in Asia and developed market listed equities, private equity and liquid credit relationships globally.
Within Australia, Michael is involved in investment decisions across listed equities and various unlisted investments in operating subsidiaries, co-investments and property.
Nick joined MFI in 2018 as Senior Portfolio Manager with responsibility for the management and performance of the Australian equity portfolio. Nick is responsible for identifying and screening new investment ideas, leading the production of primary research, assessing company valuation, monitoring macroeconomic conditions and ultimately delivering strong risk-adjusted returns.
Nick works closely with the CIO on portfolio construction, risk positioning and investment strategy in the context of the broader MFI portfolio.
Michael joined MFI in 2018 as Portfolio Manager – Private Investments.
In this role, Michael is focused on unlisted equity and property investments, including but not limited to direct investments, co-investments and fund participations in both asset classes. Michael’s mandate includes all parts of the capital structure.
Dan joined MFI in 2006 as a Portfolio Manager. He plays a senior role in the Australian equities portfolio, including financial analysis, stock selection and portfolio construction. Dan is also responsible for the global credit portfolio.
Dan has contributed across many facets of the business, including derivative trading, private equity and listed equity managers in Australia and internationally.
David Cibura joined MFI in 2019. As Research Director, David is responsible for existing and new external manager allocations, focused in developed market equities and global absolute return strategies.
David also contributes to various aspects of the broader MFI investment process, most notably in asset allocation and investment strategy.
Kofi joined MFI in 2019 as an Investment Analyst. Kofi’s responsibilities include financial analysis, identifying new investment ideas, maintaining coverage of existing holdings and contributing to portfolio construction decisions with specific focus on the Australian equities portfolio. Kofi also works on other investments in the MFI portfolio across different asset classes, including global equities, debt and external managers.
